How Is a Dental Bridge Placed?
To start, a member of our staff will ensure the teeth supporting the bridge are cleaned and prepped for the procedure. Once your teeth are ready, Dr. Dhariwal will take digital x-rays and impressions of your teeth so your custom bridge can be created. If needed, a temporary bridge may be placed while your custom one is crafted. When you return to have the finished bridge placed, we will first use a local anesthetic to numb part of your mouth. We can also review other sedation treatments to keep you comfortable if you have dental anxieties or a strong gag reflex. The dental bridge will either be cemented in place or attached to implants based on the support you and Dr. Dhariwal decided on at your consultation. Dr. Dhariwal will carefully adjust the position of your bridge so it fits securely and comfortably in your mouth.
